There was a lot of optimism surrounding the legendary Tiger Woods going into The Masters this week and many people even tipped Tiger to win the tournament. Woods was also the favourite with the bookies, along with Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy.

Tiger Woods when his previous event, which was his first PGA Tour win for two and a half years and there had been a lot of discussion about Tiger’s new swing. In fact, some people were even suggesting that Woods new swing is the best it has ever been and we could be set to see him return to greatness.
However, that was not to be and even though there is still one more round of The Masters to play, it is safe to say that Tiger Woods is not in the running. Tiger ended his third round on level par, leaving him on three over for the tournament and twelve shots behind the leader. An Easter Sunday miracle would certainly be needed for Tiger Woods to win The Masters this year.

So, with that said, will Tiger Woods ever win another major in his career? There are those that are highly optimistic and believe that with a few positive changes, he could win one this year. However, there are also those that believe that Tiger Woods is a spent force and will never return to prominence, leaving Jack Nicklaus’ record in tack for quite some time.
We hope that the latter is not true, as Tiger Woods is a true golfing legend but something seriously needs to change for Tiger to make a serious challenge for a major. What do you think?
