While the majority of you will love Ian Somerhalder because of his performances in the hit vampire television series The Vampire Diaries, I prefer him from a time when he was at his best. No disrespect to Ian, he is still fantastic in The Vampire Diaries but I feel that there was a time when he was better.
That time, as you can probably tell from the title, is when Ian Somerhalder was in Lost. Ian’s performances in Lost were superb and it was a shame that his character Boone was killed off so early. Ian did still appear in a few flashback scenes but it just wasn’t the same.
I have been re-watching Lost right from the beginning of season one and once Ian Somerhalder died, I kind of felt a little disappointed. Maybe my love for The Vampire Diaries has increased my love of Boone in Lost but I still feel that Ian Somerhalder was superb in Lost.
When Boone died in Lost, it brought a tear to my eye, which is a testament to the performance of Ian Somerhalder. As you can probably tell, I am a fan of the work of Ian Somerhalder and he seems like a genuinely nice guy in real life too. Keep up the good work Ian. Arriba!!
