Despite receiving a fair amount of criticism during his short Manchester United career, it appears that goalkeeper David De Gea has been impressing the top clubs from Spain. It has been reported that both Barcelona and Real Madrid have been showing an interest in the stopper.

Real Madrid were said to be interested in the 22-year-old, after Jose Mourinho left out goalkeeper Iker Casillas, sparking doubts about his future at the club. Now it has been claimed that Barcelona have David De Gea in their sights, as a long-term replacement for 30-year-old Victor Valdes, who has been stalling contract talks.
Despite being rotated at Manchester United, David De Gea insists he is happy at the club, “For a goalkeeper it’s always important to have consistency and to be playing regularly. It’s good for confidence and morale. I’m happy with my current form and I just need to keep working hard in training and hope that form continues.”
