Demi Lovato and One Direction's Niall Horan are still not dating according to the X Factor US judge, who is once again shutting down rumors that she's seeing the Irish heartthrob.
"No, I'm not [with him]. He's really sweet and he's one of my really good friends now. But I'm single at the moment," she said in a backstage interview she filmed during X Factor auditions.

Demi continued: "And I plan to be for a long time because I need to focus on my career and myself and my well-being before I think about getting in a relationship with anyone." Poor Niall!
Demi also spoke about another new man in her life, X Factor boss Simon Cowell: "Everyone's really great, except Simon. No, we have fun together and he does tease me, a lot. But, I give it back to him. I don't mind. He's sometimes not very nice to me, but I have fun with him."
When asked about fellow judge Britney Spears, Demi had only good things to say about her: "I grew up listening to her," she said. "So it's really awesome to be able to sit next to her on the panel."
Britney returned the compliment, saying: "The same for her, too, I totally admire her work and everything that she's done."
Demi also opened up about the challenges of having to judge fellow singers: "I mean, one, I definitely didn't think that it would be this challenging because saying no to people is really hard and emotionally it kind of messes with you a little bit 'cause you don't want to say no to some people, and then some people you're torn and you know in the back of your mind that if you say no, what if that was their only shot and you let them go when they weren't really that bad?"
