The pair met when they co-starred together in That '70s Show, and have recently been the focus of dating rumours. The duo were pictured together on a three-day trip to the coastal town of Carpinteria in California
Mila, 28, and Ashton, 34 - who split from wife Demi Moore in November amid rumours of his infidelity - drove to the town from Los Angeles together and spent much of the trip in private.
But when they did venture out they were spotted together dining on sushi, buying sunflowers from a roadside stall and popping out for coffee in the morning. The pair, who played an on-again, off-again couple on the hit sitcom, also shopped for furniture together and later had dinner with fellow cast members Wilmer Valderrama and Laura Prepon back in Los Angeles.
Mila's representative told People: "They have been friends for years and met up for dinner with a group of friends."

The That '70s Show cast are reported to be making a reunion appearance on Fox's 25th Anniversary special later this month. Mila, who has been single since she split from her boyfriend of eight years, Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, in 2010, recently said in an interview being single was "great".
Ashton was linked to writer-director Lorene Scafaria following his break-up with Demi, and has also been romantically linked to Rihanna, a romance which was rumoured to anger her ex boyfriend, Chris Brown.
